MDESIGN 2022 - Innovations in the Second Edition

Calculating countersunk head screws in accordance with VDI 2230
The screw calculation according to the VDI 2230 guideline is now also a recognized international standard. The design and calculation of constructions in which countersunk head screws are used cannot be mapped using this standard. MDESIGN bolt meets the desire of many designers to be able to use non-protruding screw heads in products by integrating this type of screw and enabling a calculation similar to VDI 2230.
Create timing belt models with graphical support
Graphical wizards within MDESIGN offer a quick and easy way to create designs without having to perform calculations.
The new graphical wizard for timing belts allows you to select, insert and arrange pulleys and tensioning pulleys in the model. This allows you to optimally integrate frequently used standard lengths for timing belts into your own design. The models created in this way can be exported as a 3D model in STEP format for further use.
Secure your pressure vessels
When designing pipelines and pressure vessels, the question also arises as to how they can be securely fastened and installed. The new "Support bracket" module in MDESIGN process enables the design of support and retaining frames.
Further customization options for the documentation
designers often work on behalf of a customer. With an additional layout for your documentation, customer logos for corresponding projects can now be integrated in addition to the company's own logo.
